Recognition to 9/11
Considering that today is day to remember those who have passed in the 9/11 terrorist attack on the world trade center, I figured I should elaborate about this traitorous day. So on 9/11 not only were the innocent souls that went down with the buildings affected, but also the people who live to this day were affected. You'd imagine the only people harmed by this tragic event were the people who were killed, but 400,000 New Yorkers breathed in one of the most toxic pollution clouds ever recorded after the towers were brought down. Between 250,000 and 400,000 people were exposed to the pollution. The U.S government's figures show that the cloud of debris had the highest level of deadly toxins recorded of that time. Levels of acid, sulfur, fine particles, heavy metals and other unhealthy substances were also found. Asbestos and other harmful toxins were also measured at a high rate, thought to be causing cancer and other long term diseases. All of New York was severely affected by this cataclysmic event. Rest in peace to all of those who have lost their lives on September 11th, 14 years ago. And have hope for those who've endured the effects of the attack.

Your uncle D did a lot of work on this issue for many years. Such a rare take on 9/11--you put it well and thoughtfully.
